Money Transfer

The victim allegedly transferred nearly ₹8 crore to different bank accounts. The accused claimed the money would help settle the GST and tax issues. A chartered accountant was also brought into the matter.

Account Threat

The complaint also mentions threats linked to the victim’s bank account. The accused allegedly warned that the account could be frozen through contacts in the GST department. One of the victim’s accounts was later frozen, according to the complaint.

Police Probe

Bandra Police registered an FIR after receiving the complaint. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Crime Branch is handling the case. Officers are checking bank records and tracing the money trail. No arrests had been made when the report was published.
