According to Haryana Police, the operation was carried out between July 1 and July 31. The accused were arrested from 11 states, including Jharkhand, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Bihar, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Delhi, and Haryana. The arrests were made after technical surveillance, digital tracking, and coordinated raids by different police teams.

Police said the accused were involved in various cybercrimes, including fake investment scams, phishing attacks, social media fraud, and other online financial scams. Investigators used digital forensics, mobile phone tracking, banking transaction analysis, and interstate coordination to trace and arrest the suspects.

Deputy Commissioner of Police for Cyber Crime, Himadri Kaushik, stated that cybercriminals are increasingly organized and often operate across different states. She said such cases require teamwork, advanced technology, and close coordination between law enforcement agencies.

DCP Kaushik praised the Cyber Police Central team for their efforts and said the arrest of 129 cybercriminals in just one month is a major success against organized cybercrime. She also honoured 12 police officers for their outstanding work in solving cybercrime cases and tracking down the accused.

The police urged people to stay alert while using online banking and digital payment services. Citizens should avoid clicking on unknown links, never share OTPs or banking details, and immediately report cyber fraud through the 1930 cyber helpline or the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
