Haryana Police Forms AI Task Force to Strengthen Cybercrime and Financial Fraud Investigations

Haryana Police officers are working in a cybercrime command center using artificial intelligence tools to investigate cybercrime, digital evidence, and financial fraud as part of the state's new AI Task Force.

Haryana Police Announces AI Task Force Investigations

Haryana Police has announced a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Task Force to improve cybercrime and financial fraud investigations. The department shared the initiative on August 31. The task force will work under an IPS officer appointed as the state’s AI Officer. The project aims to make investigations faster and more accurate.

AI to Support Digital Evidence Analysis

The AI Task Force will support investigators in cybercrime cases, financial fraud, and digital evidence analysis. Police officers handle large amounts of banking records, mobile data, online activity, and electronic documents. AI tools will help officers review this information effectively. This technology will also help identify crime patterns and important investigation leads.

AI to Improve Financial Fraud

Haryana Police will also use AI for financial analysis. The system will examine suspicious bank transactions and identify links between accounts. Investigators will be able to trace the flow of funds more efficiently. Officials said the technology will support officers during complex cyber fraud investigations.

Haryana Police Develops AI-Based Public Platforms

The department is also developing an AI-based Grievance Management System and a Court Returns Portal. These platforms will help manage public complaints, court records, and official documents. Police said AI will improve daily operations while keeping investigations reliable and secure. Human officers will continue to verify evidence and make all final decisions.

Haryana Police said criminals are increasingly using advanced technology and digital platforms. The department wants investigators to keep pace with these changes. The AI Task Force will provide modern tools for cybercrime investigations, digital forensics, and financial fraud detection. The initiative reflects the growing use of artificial intelligence in law enforcement across India.
